NMDC Steel Limited (NSL) is a Govt. Company under administrative control of Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India. The shares of the Company are listed on BSE, NSE and Calcutta Stock Exchange. The Company owns and operates the state of the art 3.0 MTPA steel plant at Nagarnar, Chhattisgarh.
The Steel plant has been built at a cost of approximately ₹ 24,000 crores. The Plant is set to establish its mark in the Hot Rolled market with its repertoire of high grade Hot Rolled steel that is slated to meet the requirements of several key consuming sectors on the strength of its technology that includes its most modern Mill.
For operation & maintenance of the NSL, persons on Contract basis having experience in various areas of Steel plant as detailed below are Name of the department, contractual Post, Area of work, No. of posts, Required Educational Qualification, work experience etc.
- The number of vacancies indicated above is tentative and the actual number of vacancies may vary depending upon the requirement.
- All essential qualifications should have been acquired on full time basis from Universities/ Institutions recognized by UGC/AICTE /Govt. of India.
- All Diploma in Engineering qualifications should be of 3 years duration and on full time basis and have been acquired from Universities/ Institutions recognized by UGC/AICTE /Govt. of India.
- All ITI qualifications should be on full time basis and have been recognized by SCVT/NCVT/Govt. of India.
- The prescribed essential qualifications are MANDATORY and proof for the same has to be produced by the candidate during document verification. Possession of higher qualification than the essential qualification does not entitle eligibility for the post.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT:
- The period of contract/engagement will be maximum upto three years initially or till the age of 60 years, whichever is The initial agreed period can be extended based on performance and depending on the requirements.
- Remuneration, Post Qualification Experience & Maximum Age: The required post qualification experience, maximum age for applying and consolidated remuneration which will be paid to selected candidates are mentioned below against each contractual post. The consolidated remuneration can be increased up to maximum 5% annually in subsequent years based upon his/her performance.

The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBCs (Non-Creamy Layer) and for PwBD/Ex-Servicemen as per GOI Guidelines on the maximum age mentioned above.
- GST, as applicable, shall be borne by the company
- The remuneration will be based on actual attendance and prorated deductions shall be made for their absence
- Besides, they will be covered by a suitable Accidental Group Insurance for any accident occurred out of or in the course of employment during the period of their contract
- Outpatient expenses for self-treatment @ 35,000/- per annum will also be paid.
- The candidates selected must be medically fit for their selected area of the Steel Plant and will be subject to medical fitness test at the Company’s authorized medical hospital/centre.
- The engagement can be terminated by giving one month’s notice either side. Once engaged, the candidate will not be allowed to take up any other assignment outside during the period of their engagement.
- TA/DA: In case of official tour, they will be eligible for TA/DA as
- HRA: HRA will be paid as applicable
- Leaves: They will be entitled for 12 days of Casual Leaves and 20 days of Medical Leave in a calendar year. The un-availed Casual Leave and Medical Leaves in a year cannot be carried forward. Encashment of Casual Leave and Medical Leaves are not permitted.
- They will be eligible for weekly day of rest and public holidays as per rules of the company
- Statutory deductions as applicable shall be made as per applicable laws
- Apart from above, no other monetary benefit shall be admissible.
HOW TO APPLY: Applicants must apply / register themselves in online mode
- Eligible and interested candidates would be required to apply online for registration through NSL website https://nmdcsteel.nmdc.co.in/ (link available on the “Careers” page of the website). The link will be available/activated from 10:00AM on 24.04.2025 to 11:59 PM of 08.05.2025
- Helpline email nmdcnisp18@gmail.com, phone no: +91-7044599061 will be available between 10 AM and 6 PM on all working days to assist Technical aspect of online mode.
- Candidates are required to fill all the details on-line and upload all the relevant documents/ certificates such as i) recent passport size photograph (ii) Matriculation /10th certificate (iii) Certificates in support of Qualification and Experience (iv)Caste/Category Certificate, SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS/Disability/ Ex-Serviceman Certificate etc. as applicable (v) Scanned signature (vi) mobile no. (vii) email id etc.
- For detailed notification the candidates are advised to visit the careers page of NSL website i.e. https://nmdcsteel.nmdc.co.in/ In case of any clarifications, typographical errors or omissions, Corrigendum etc. to the notification shall be issued in the above NSL Website only.
- An amount of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) is to be paid by all the candidates as application fee which is non-refundable.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen categories applying for the post will be exempted from paying Application Fee. Proof for fee exemption is to be enclosed as stated at point no. 7.12 (A). In the absence of above, certificate or fee payment details his/her application will be rejected.
- The payment can be made by using UPI /credit card/on-line net banking through SBI-Collect using Internet Banking integrated with on-line application. Transaction charges, if any, will be borne by the candidate. On successful completion of transaction, application form with Unique Transaction number and application number will be generated which is to be printed for record. If the candidate does not receive the application form with Unique Transaction number his/her on-line application will not be considered complete and he/she will have to make payment again. Failed transaction will be automatically refunded to the same account from which payment was originally made, within 10 working days.
- Application fee once paid will not be refunded OR adjusted against any further notifications, even in case of cancellation of the notification for which application fee is paid.
- Before applying/registering through on-line mode, candidates are advised to read the instructions of Notification carefully and will ensure that they must fulfil the essential requirements of the post and other conditions as mentioned in the Employment Notification, which will be available at NSL website as mentioned at 4.0(d) above.
- After applying online, the candidate is required to download the hard copy of filled in application form and keep the printout of the Application/Registration form which will be generated by the system after successful registration.
- Call letters/admit cards will be sent through email. Call letters/Admit Cards can also be downloaded from Careers page on NSL Website. NSL will not be responsible for any loss of email sent due to invalid/wrong Email ID provided by the candidate. Only those candidates will be allowed to appear for Interview who will produce valid call letter/admit card. The information to generate call letters/
- admit card from website will also be sent through SMS.
- The candidates will be issued call letter / admit card based on their declaration in the Online application. Mere issue of call letter /admit card does not indicate that the eligibility of the
- candidate has been confirmed. The eligibility of the candidate will be confirmed after Document Verification at the time of Interview.
- Candidates are required to mention their date of birth and name as per Matriculation/10th class certificate issued by the recognized Board. No other proof of date of birth and name shall be accepted.
- A candidate can apply/register for one post only. Candidates applying for more than one post will not be considered. In case of multiple applications, from a candidate, the latest one shall be considered as final and older applications shall be rejected.
Verification of Documents with Originals:-
The candidates who will be called for Walk-in Interview are required to produce original documents/ testimonials, along with self-attested photo copies, in support of Age, Qualification, Experience, Caste, etc. for verification of their eligibility as per notification at the time of Walk-in Interview. In case the candidate(s) do not produce / submit the required documents before attending Interview the candidate(s) will not be permitted to attend the same. The decision of Management is final in this regard. The candidates are advised to carry along the printout of the registration form at the time of Interview.
Selection Procedure:
- Walk-in Interview will be organized at Raipur, Bhubaneshwar, Rourkela, Bokaro, Durgapur, Hospet and Jharsuguda. Candidate shall give preference of location of Interview during the time of filling up of online application. The final allocation of location of Interview shall be based on availability for which decision of company will be final and binding.
- Selection will be made by duly constituted Committee through Walk-in-Drive Interview to assess the suitability of candidates after Document Only those candidates will be permitted for Interview whose documents verification is found in order as per Notification.
- The date and time of Walk-in-Drive will be displayed in NSL The candidates who have registered successfully will be intimated through email and SMS only for attending the Walk-in-Drive (interview). The Walk-in-Drive (interview) may be conducted in short notice, considering the requirement.
- Based on the performance of the candidate during selection process candidate may be offered higher/ lower post, subject to fulfilment of other eligibility criteria, for which the decision of the company shall be final
General Conditions:
- The date of birth as well as the name of the applicant will invariably be taken from Matriculation/10th class certificate issued by the recognized Board and no other proof of date of birth and name shall be accepted
- The cut-off date for reckoning eligibility for educational qualification, age and experience etc will be the last date for submitting on-line application/ registration as mentioned at point no. 4(a) of this notification. In case, the last date of submitting of application is extended, the original cutoff date for reckoning eligibility will remain unchanged.
- The prescribed minimum educational qualifications are mandatory and in absence of the same any higher qualification even if possessed by the candidate does not make any candidate eligible for attending Interview.
- NSL Management reserves the right to raise/relax/cancel/modify/alter the entire recruitment at any point of time.
- During recruitment process, if any information provided by the candidate is found incorrect/incomplete or it is not in conformity with eligibility criteria as specified in the notification for the above post or if it is found that candidate has concealed/distorted any material information, his/her candidature will be cancelled at any stage during the recruitment process or even after selection.
- Mere fulfilling of the minimum criteria will not vest any right in candidates for being called for different stages of recruitment Decision of management to call the candidates for selection process shall be final. No interim correspondence will be entertained.
- In case of any typographical errors or omissions, clarification, corrigendum to the notification shall be issued in NSL website only. In such cases, the last date of receipt of applications will also be extended. In general, no modification in notified specifications/criteria would be made after issue of employment notification.
- The selected candidates will be posted in NSL as per requirements and they may be assigned job/functions/assignments as per the business requirements of the Company.
- Before registering Online, the candidates must fulfil the essential requirements of the post and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying. No enquiry asking for advice as to eligibility will be entertained. While applying for above post, the applicant should ensure that he/she fulfils all the eligibility and other criteria mentioned above as on the cutoff date and that the particulars furnished are correct in all respects.
- All the outstation candidates called for and attended the Interview will be reimbursed Travelling Allowance of second A/C Two Tier Rail/Bus fare on production of Railway/Bus tickets by shortest route as per Proforma of Travelling Allowance is available as Annexure –I in the notification of NSL website.
- At the time of attending the interview candidates are required to submit duly filled in Travelling Allowance form along with its required travelling tickets in original for its re-imbursement to the candidates as per eligibility. However, the said Travelling Allowance will be paid through e-payment by NSL in due course.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/EWS/PwBD/Ex-servicemen category should enclose a copy of caste/permanent Certificate as applicable in the prescribed proforma specified by Govt. of India. The OBC certificate submitted by the candidate should be issued within 06 months from the date of Interview and as per the orders contained in Department of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public grievance and Pensions, New Delhi, Office Memorandum No.36012/22/93-Estt(SCT) dated 08.09.93 and should clearly indicate that the candidate does not belong to the persons/sections (Creamy Layer) as mentioned in column-3 of the Schedule of the above referred Office Memorandum dated 8.9.93 and also belong to the community listed as OBC by Government of India as per latest directives issued by Government of India.
- Candidates seeking reservation under EWS will have to submit an Income and Asset Certificate issued by the Competent Authority. The prescribed format and the Competent Authority for the said certificate have been mentioned in DOPT Office Memorandum No.36039/1/2019 dated 31.1.19.
- (C) Category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD) once filled in the online application/ registration form will not be changed and no benefit of other category will be admissible later on.
- Wherein in any recruitment year any vacancy earmarked for EWS category cannot be filled up due to non-availability of a suitable candidate belonging to EWS, such vacancies for that particular recruitment year shall not be carried forward to the next recruitment year as backlog and the vacancy will be filled by other than EWS candidate.
- If the SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PwBD certificate has been issued in a language other than English/Hindi, the candidates will be required to submit a self-certified translated copy of the same either in English or Hindi.
- Ex-servicemen are required to produce equivalence certificate of his/her qualification acquired by them issued by the Competent Authority at the time of Interview. In absence of the above, candidates shall not be allowed to appear in the Interview.
- The prescribed Caste Certificates for SC/ST (Annexure-II), OBC(NCL) Certificate (Annexure-III), EWS certificate (Annexure-IV) are available in the notification on the Careers page of NSL website i.e., https://nmdcsteel.nmdc.co.in/ only.
- The candidates applying/registering for the recruitment should ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions for the post against which they apply. Their admission at all the stages of selection process will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility condition. Mere applying/registering through online mode and issue of Application No. for online application / call letter /admit card to the candidate will not imply that his / her candidature has been finally cleared by NSL. NSL takes up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents of the shortlisted candidates at the time of Interview.
- No interim correspondence will be entertained on any account during recruitment process. Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification.
- Posts advertised are tentative. NSL reserves the right to reject any applications or cancel/restrict/modify/alter the requirements/recruitment- selection process as advertised, if the need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereof; in which case NSL shall not be liable to compensate the applicant for the consequential damages.
- Only such PwBD category candidates would be eligible to get the applicable benefit of reservation/concessions whose relevant disability percentage is 40% and above.
- Candidates should retain printed copy of their application/registration form as they can be asked to produce it for future reference.
- In case of disparity in English & Hindi version of advertisement, English version will prevail.
- Wherever CGPA/letter grade in a degree is awarded; equivalent percentage of marks should be indicated in the online application form as per the norms adopted by the University/Institute. The candidate will have to produce a copy of these norms with respect to his/her University/Institute at the time of Interview. Where no norms have been specified, the CGPA/Grade will be presumed to have been provided on a 10 point scale.
- No request for change of date/venue for Interview will be entertained.
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
- Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be at Bilaspur (CG).
