RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT PROFESSORS IN SUPER SPECIALITIES THROUGH DIRECT RECRUITMENT AND LATERAL ENTRY (REGULAR AND LIMITED RECRUITMENT) WALK IN RECRUITMENT ON 16.05.2025

VACANCIES & EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Professors of Super Specialties in Eleven (11) Old & Phase-I Government Medical Colleges under the control of Directorate of Medical Education.
- Recruitment is on a regular basis and through walk in recruitment
- Recruitment shall be as per the service rules issued in the GO.Ms.No.154 HM&FW Dt.27.06.2002 read with the amendments issued from time to time and Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations issued by NMC from time to time.
- Total of Vacancies : 128 (One hundred and twenty eight) (Details of specialty-wise and institution-wise vacancies are at ANNEXURE No. I to the Notification) Vacancies may be increased / decreased)

Pay Scale: Salary will be as per the 7th UGC Pay scales (G.O.Ms.No.22, HM&FW (A1),Dated:01.03.2021) @ Rs.68900 - 205500 and Super Specialty allowance of Rs.30,000/- will be paid in addition to the salary.
AGE:
- OC candidate should not have completed 42 years as on date of Notification
- EWS/SC/ST/BC candidates should not have completed 47 years as on date of Notification
- Differently abled persons should not have completed 52 years as on date of Notification
- Ex-servicemen should not have completed 50 years as on the date of Notification
- Candidates who are Local to Andhra Pradesh ONLY need to apply. (Candidates who studied from 4th Class to10th Class in the State of A.P and candidates who migrated to any part of AP from the State of Telangana within a period of 3years from 2ndJune 2014. (As per G.O.No.132 GAD Dt.13-6-2016 & G.O.Ms.No.133 GAD Dt.13.06.2016) are considered as Local).
- The Residence Certificate/ Nativity/ Domicile Certificate issued by MRO/Tahsildar will not be allowed for Local consideration without mentioning the G.O.No.132 GAD Dt.13-6-2016 & G.O.Ms.No.133 GAD Dt.13.06.2016 for the candidate who studied in the state of Telangana before bifurcation.
- The Residence Certificate will not be accepted if a Candidate has studied in any Educational Institutions up to SSC or equivalent Examination; such candidates have to produce study certificates in variably.
IN SERVICE CANDIDATES APPLYING UNDER DR:
- Candidate who is in State Government service and desires to apply in Direct Recruitment shall have to obtain NOC from DPHFW /DSH (APVVP) /DME/ respective competent Candidate shall submit the format in the prescribed format at ANNEXURE- II
- Such candidates, if selected, will have to submit an ‘accepted resignation letter’ from the DPHFW/ DSH (APVVP) /DME and only then, will they be permitted to join as Assistant Professor.
- Candidates working as Assistant Professors under DME are NOT eligible to apply For SAME SPECIALITY they are working in.
- Selection will be based on merit and Rule of Reservation
- Merit list will be prepared for all the candidates who applied and fulfilled all the eligibility conditions. Selection lists will be prepared based on merit lists and roster points as per the Rules of Reservation issued in AP State and Subordinate
- Total Marks–100
- 75 Marks based on the marks/ grade obtained in the qualifying degree. Those who are not having PG marks memo or Grade, percentage of marks will be taken as 50% (50% x 75 = 37.50)
- It is the responsibility of the candidate to obtain and submit marks memos from the competent authorities where ever grades instead of marks are issued.
- Regarding the Grades: (Marks will be considered as 75%) (As per Govt Memo No. 4296/A1/2015, Dated 04.2015)

- 10 marks based on weightage for number of years since passing qualifying examination is upto10 marks @ 1 mark per PG/Completion of PG/Super-specialty completed year.
- 5 marks of weightage will be provided to the candidates who have completed PG/Super Specialty from Central Institutions.
- 15 Marks to the contract service who rendered their services in the same specialty for which they are applied in Government institutions
- 2.5 marks per six months in Tribal Area.
- 2 marks per six months in Rural
- 1 mark per six months in Urban Area
Contract Service Certificate issued by the competent authority and signed by the Superintendent of Government Teaching Hospital/ DM&HO / DCHS shall be submitted for claiming the contract weightage. Contract weightage will not be awarded, in case of non- submission of signed certificate from the above authorities.
Contract weightage, if already utilized in any recruitment of state Government, will not be awarded again. Candidates shall submit the declaration to that effect in the format at Annexure No. III. Non submission of declaration leads to non-entitlement of contract
Weightage will be awarded upto 15 Marks for the candidates who rendered their services on contract basis for COVID-19 duties.
- Contract service will be reckoned up to the date of notification as per Government Memo no.4274/D1/2013, HM&FW (D1) Dept., 10.07.2014.
- Spells of services will also be considered for weightage
- Contract weightage will be awarded as per O.Rt.No.211, HM &FW(B2) Dept., Dated 08.05.2021 and G.O.Rt.No.7 HM&FW(B2) Department Dt.06.01.2022 read with circularno.03/CHFW/2022, dated 11.02.2022 of CHFW
- Appointment order for COVID-19
- Monthly attendance
- Bank statement indicating payment of monthly remuneration along with COVID-19 weightage service certificate.
- Service certificate from the competent authority in the prescribed Proforma (DMHO/DCHS/Medical Superintendent in case of GGH).
- Covid contract weightage will not be awarded in case of non- submission of any of the above certificates from d (1) to d (4).
FOR THE CANDIDATES APPLYING UNDER LATERAL ENTRY
Eligibility Criteria
- Assistant Professors in broad specialties working in Directorate of Medical Education, Civil Assistant Surgeons working in the Directorate of Public Health & Family Welfare or Directorate of Secondary Health (APVVP) are only eligible to apply.
- Candidate shall be an approved probationer or should have completed the probation period in the cadre of CAS/ Assistant
- There shall not be any disciplinary charges pending against the candidate and shall not be in unauthorized absence.
- Rule of Reservation applicable to the promotions is adhered to, in the recruitment through lateral entry.
- Candidate applying for Lateral Entry shall submit NOC from the HoD in the prescribed format at ANNEXURE No.IV
Selection Procedure for LE:
- Merit list will be prepared based on the rank given by the respective appointing authority at the time of recruitment as CAS / Assistant
- Selection list will be prepared based on merit and the rule of reservation applicable to the promotions as per AP state and subordinate service rules.

- Declaration given in Annexure No. V must be submitted by the candidate duly filled and signed*.
- Contract Service Certificate from DMHO/DCHS / Medical Superintendent/Principal (for the period after completion of PG degree), Contract service will not be given without proper service certificate from the DMHO/ DCHS/Medical Superintendent/ Principal, given in Annexure II. (Not applicable for candidates applying under LE)
- If a person belongs to Ex-serviceman category, certificate regarding the same has to be enclosed. (Not applicable for candidates applying under LE)
- Candidates, who claim for VH/MH/HH/OH vacancy, must submit Disability Certificate to that extent, issued by concerned medical board or SADAREM.
- Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST/BC or Social Status (for candidates claiming EWS) Certificate issued by Competent authority. If caste certificate is NOT submitted, then such candidate is considered as OC.
- Meritorious sports certificates in case of claiming the sports Quota.

- The recruitment is subject to the outcome of any O.As/W.Ps pending before court and likely to arise in the matter.
- Member Secretary, APMSRB / Director of Medical Education reserves every right to cancel the notification /alter /modify any condition laid down in the notification for final selection and also number of posts notified.
