AP DSC 2024 QUALIFICATIONS  AND  ELIGIBILITY :-

A candidate for selection to the posts of Teachers shall possess the academic and professional/ training qualifications as follows:-
  • Must be fully qualified for the post applied for and in possession of all Certificates as on the last date prescribed in the notification for submission of
  • Must possess Intermediate Certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (or) other equivalent certificates recognized by Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra
  • Must possess Academic degrees of Universities recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC).
  • Teacher Education Courses recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
  • Distance Mode courses offered by Universities and Deemed Universities recognized by Joint Committee comprising University Grants Commission(UGC), Distance Education Council (DEC), All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) and with jurisdiction to operate such courses in the State of Andhra
  • Special Education Courses recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
  • The candidates should qu1a3lified in the AP Teacher Eligibility Test (APTETs) for the posts of Secondary Grade Teachers and for the posts of School Assistants.
Post wise qualifications:

School Assistants

School Assistant (Mathematics)

Must possess Graduation with Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics OR one of the three equal optional subjects and a B. Ed degree with Mathematics as a methodology subject.

School Assistant (Physical Sciences)

 Must possess Graduation with at least two of the following subjects as optional subjects: Physics / Applied Physics / Engineering Physics & Instrumentation and Chemistry / Applied Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Medicinal Chemistry / Bio-Chemistry / Geology or either Physics / its allied subjects or Chemistry / its allied subjects as one of the main subject and other as subsidiary / ancillary subject and B.Ed. degree with Physical Science / Physics / Chemistry / Science as a methodology subject.

B.C.A Candidate with Physics and Chemistry at Intermediate level as group subjects and B.Ed. degree with  Physical  Science  / Physics / Chemistry / Science as a methodology subject

School Assistant (Biological Science)

Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with Telugu as the main subject or one of the three equal optional subjects or Bachelor’s Degree in Oriental Language in Telugu (B.O.L) or its equivalent or a Post Graduate Degree in Telugu and B.Ed with Telugu as methodology Subject or Telugu Pandit Training or its equivalent.

School Assistant (Hindi) Academic qualifications

Secondary Grade Teacher SGT:

Must possess Intermediate Certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other equivalent certificate recognized by Board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of A.P. and two year Diploma in Education(D.Ed)/ Diploma in Elementary Education(D.El.Ed). Certificate issued by the Director of Government Examinations, Andhra Pradesh (or) its equivalent certificate recognized by NCTE.

Must possess a graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

 Note:- Who have acquired the qualification of Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a Secondary Grade Teacher, provided that the person so appointed as a Secondary Grade Teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE,  within two years of such appointment as Secondary GradeTeacher”.

Language/Medium Study Qualifications:-

Telugu Medium & Minor Media posts (Non-language subjects):

The candidates who have passed SSC examination in the concerned medium of instruction or with the concerned Language as First Language are eligible to apply for the posts of SA (Mathematics, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Social Studies), and Secondary Grade Teachers. The candidates who have passed the Intermediate / Degree Examination (Academic) in the concerned medium of instruction or with the Language concerned as a subject are also eligible to apply for the posts in that medium.

Candidates having the training qualification of Special D.Ed/D.El.Ed / also eligible to apply for the posts of Secondary Grade Teacher. Candidates having the training qualification of Special Special B.Ed/B.El.Ed are eligible to apply for the posts of School Assistant, respectively, in General Schools in addition to Special Schools, provided they are in possession of academic qualifications prescribed for the posts to which they apply. However, on appointment to the post they are required to undergo an NCTE recognized six months Special Programme in Elementary Education.

Only the qualifications mentioned in the application form, for the post applied for, shall be taken into consideration for the purpose of selection.

Principal:

Academic & Professional Qualifications:
  1. Academic Qualifications: Must possess any two year integrated Post Graduate Course from Regional Institute of Education of NCERT (or) any Master's Degree from UG recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  2. Professional Qualifications: Must possess B.Ed recognized by NCTE (or) equivalent degree from UGC recognized University.
  3. Experience: The candidates shall possess the following experience and have to submit the experience certificate obtained from the competent authority at the time of certificate verification. At the time of certificate verification, genuineness of the experience Certificates shall got verified and cross checked with the records of the concerned schools by the respective District Educational Officers/Authority appointed by the CSE. The experience certificates shall be considered after submitting the genuineness by the District Educational Officers/Authority appointed by the CSE. If the experience certificates are found not genuine, the candidature of such candidates shall summarily be rejected and such candidates shall forfeit the right for the selection:
Persons holding the post of Principals or Vice-Principals in the recognized senior secondary schools / equivalent institutions dealing with English Medium and with a minimum service of 3 years from the date of notification issued,

(or)

Persons holding Group 'B' posts / the post of PGTs (or) Lecturers in the recognized senior secondary schools / equivalent institutions dealing with English Medium and with a minimum service of 5 years from the date of notification issued,

(or)

Headmasters in the recognized secondary schools / equivalent institutions dealing with English Medium and with a minimum service of 5 years from the date of notification issued.

Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

Academic Qualifications: Must possess two-year integrated Post Graduate Course from the Regional Institute of Education of NCERT or Master's Degree from UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as specified as under.

PGT (English) - M.A., in English.

PGT (Hindi)- M.A., in Hindi.

PGT (Telugu)- M.A., in Telugu.

PGT (Sanskrit) – M.A, in Sanskrit

PGT (Civics)- M.A., in   Political Science/ Public Administration/ Politics.

PGT (Commerce)- M. Com.in Commerce with Accountancy/ Cost Accounting/ Financial Accountancy as a main subject /Master of Financial Analysis provided having B.Com in Graduation level.

Note: Holders of M.Com in Applied / Business Economics are not eligible for the post of PGT-Commerce.

PGT (Economics) - M.A., in Economics / Applied Economics / Business Economics/ Rural Development/ Mathematical Economics/Econometrics.

PGT (Maths) - M. A / M.Sc, in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Applied Statistics / M.Sc, with Pure Mathematics / M.Sc. Maths & Computer Science/A.O. Mathematics.
