BSF Constable Tradesman Recruitment 2023 Notification Online applications are invited from MALE & FEMALE Indian Citizens for filling up 1284 vacancies (1220 Vacancies for MALE candidates and 64 Vacancies for FEMALE candidates) for the post of Constable (Tradesman) Exam 2023 in Border Security Force in the pay Matrix Level-3, Pay scale Rs.21,700-69,100/- of 7th CPC (Revised Pay Structure) and other allowances as admissible to Central Govt. employees from time to time. In addition, Ration allowance, Medical Assistance, free accommodation, free leave pass, etc. are granted which are admissible to BSF employees.

State Wise, Trade Wise and Category wise distribution of vacancies for Male & Female candidates are attached at Appendix – „A‟ and Appendix – „B‟ in the notification





Between 18 to 25 years as on last date of online application. Relaxable in respect of the candidates for SC/ ST/ OBC and   other special categories of personnel in accordance with the instructions issued by Central Govt. from time to time.

Candidates of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of J&K during the period from 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec,1989. The person claiming relaxation under this category should produce the certificate to the effect that he/she had been domiciled in the State of J&K during the period from 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec 1989 from either the District Magistrate within whose jurisdiction he/she had ordinarily resided or from any other authority designated on his behalf by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.

Children and dependent family members of victims KILLED in the 1984 riots and communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat.

Children means (a) son (including adopted son) or

(b)   daughter (including adopted daughter) Dependent family member means (a) spouse or (b) children or

(c)    brother or sister in the case of unmarried victim who was wholly dependent on that victim at the time of his getting killed in the riots would be eligible.

In order to be eligible for upper age relaxation in this category, the applicant should produce a certificate to that effect from the concerned District Collector/ District Magistrate where the victim was killed.

Note-I :- Candidates should note that Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination certificate or an equivalent certificate will only be accepted by the BSF for determining the age and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.

Note-II: - If any Candidates require relaxation in the eligibility criteria, will produce a particular certificate.


Education qualification :


(1) For trades of Constable(Cobbler), Constable(Tailor), Constable(Washerman), Constable(Barber) and Constable(Sweeper) :

 (a) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board;

(b) Must be proficient in respective trade;

(c) Must qualify trade test in the respective trade conducted by recruitment board.

  For the trades of Constable(Cook), Constable(Water  Carrier) and Constable(Waiter) :

(a) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board;

(b) National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) level-I Course in food production or Kitchen from National Skill Development Corporation or from the Institutes recognized by National Skill Development Corporation.

 Note:- (i)Multi-skilled candidates will be given preference.

 (ii) Educational certificate other than State Board/Central Board should be accompanied with Government of India notifications declaring that such qualification is equivalent to Matric /10th class pass for service under Central Government.

Weight : As per standard height-weight chart prescribed in the Uniform Guidelines for Medical Examination Test Recruitment in Central Armed Police Forces, National Security Guard and Assam Rifle-2015.


Reserved category candidates seeking relaxations in physical standards by virtue of belonging to hilly area cannot be considered against un- reserved vacancies in terms of MHA ID  No. 342 / RC / SSB / Remust. CT (GD) /1121 dated 07.05.2021.

Note-2 :

Relaxation in   height   and   chest   (as the case   may be) as   mentioned above will be permissible on production of certificate in the proforma as prescribed in Annexure – IV from the competent authorities.


Medical Standard


Vision- Minimum distance vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 in other eye without correction (i.e. without wearing glasses/lenses).


Must not have knock-knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes, should possess colour perception standard CP.III and must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.


Must qualify the physical efficiency test, Physical Standard Test, written test and medical examination.



  • 1ST PHASE OF EXAMINATION E. WRITTEN EXAMINATION Candidates whose online application forms are found to be in order will be called to appear in Written Examination.
  • Online admit card will be communicated to the candidates through E-Mail address/ SMS for written
  • The Written Examination will be of 100 marks containing 100 questions (qualifying marks 35% for UR Category/EWS & Ex- Servicemen and 33% for SC/ST/OBC) will consist of CBT (Computer Based Test) or OMR based objective type multiple choice questions to be answered using a Blue or Black ball point pen
  • The question paper will consist of one objective type paper containing 100 questions carrying 100 marks with the following composition:-

 All candidates are required to fill and shade, name, roll number, date of birth, language, Post/Trade, category and question booklet series code given in the OMR sheet because these informations are essential for evaluation of the answer sheet. Ovals as printed against each should be shaded properly, otherwise OMR sheets of candidates may not be evaluated by scanner machine and he/she will be declared failed for which candidate will himself/herself be responsible for such mistakes. No change/cutting/overwriting is permitted. Correction fluid should not be used. Hence the ovals should be filled carefully.

  • All questions will be of objective multiple choice type. The standard of the question will commensurate with the knowledge expected from a class-10th pass
  • OMR Answer Sheet should be filled up by candidates correctly with Blue or Black ball point Pen only as per instructions given in OMR Answer
  • Candidates reporting after 15 minutes of the commencement of examination will not be allowed.


 Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET):-

  • Candidates will be restricted to six (6) times the number of vacancies notified/allotted to their respective State as per marks obtained from their written examination for second phase of examination.
  • At the very beginning candidates will be asked to go through the height bar and thereby, candidates with lesser height will get eliminated and will not be allowed to participate in further process of
  • Those candidates who qualify the height bar will be subject to Physical Efficiency Test (PET) which will be as under:-





5 Kilometers race to be completed       within 24 minutes.

1.6 Kilometers race to be completed    within  8.30 minutes.


(a) Candidates belonging to Un-reserved(UR), EWS category or OBC category applying for recruitment to the posts shall have to deposit Rs. 100/- (One Hundred) only as examination fee plus Rs.47.20 service charges levied by Common Service Centre (CSC) through following payment mode :-

(i) Net banking of any Bank.

(ii) Credit/Debit Card of any Bank.

(iii) Nearest authorized Common Service Centre.

(b) Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, BSF serving personnel and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from payment of examination fee.

(c) Payment of examination fee will be accepted only through online mode.

(d) Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

(e) In case of non-receipt of examination fee from the candidates of non-exempted categories, their form will not be accepted.

కొన్ని ట్రేడుల్లో ఎన్ఎస్ క్యూఎఫ్ లెవల్ 1 కోర్సు పూర్తి చేయాలి.

వయసు: 18 నుంచి 25 ఏళ్ల మధ్య వయసు ఉండాలి.

వయసు సడలింపు: ఎస్సీ/ ఎస్టీ అభ్యర్థులకు 5 ఏళ్లు, ఓబీసీ అభ్యర్థులకు 3 ఏళ్లు వయసులో సడలింపు

జీతభత్యాలు: నెలకు రూ.21700- రూ. 69100 చెల్లిస్తారు.

ఎంపిక విధానం: రాతపరీక్ష, ఫిజికల్ స్టాండర్డ్ టెస్ట్, ఫిజికల్ ఎఫిషియన్సీ టెస్ట్ ఆధారంగా తుది ఎంపిక ఉంటుంది.

రాతపరీక్షలో భాగంగా 100 ప్రశ్నలకు 100 మార్కులు ఉంటాయి. పరీక్ష సమయం రెండు గంటలు. పరీక్ష ఆబ్జెక్టివ్ విధానంలో ఉంటుంది. రాతపరీక్షలో అర్హత సాధించిన అభ్యర్థులకు ఫిజికల్ స్టాండర్డ్ టెస్ట్, ఫిజికల్ ఎఫిషియన్సీ పరీక్ష నిర్వహిస్తారు.

అభ్యర్థులకు ట్రేడ్ టెస్ట్ నిర్వహిస్తారు. అందులో అర్హత సాధించాలి. కానీ అందుకు ఎలాంటి మార్కులు ఉండవు.

దరఖాస్తు ఫీజు: రూ.100.

దరఖాస్తు విధానం: ఆన్లైన్ ద్వారా దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవాలి.

దరఖాస్తు చివరి తేది: 27.03.2023.

(i) One Time Registration (OTR). (STEP-I)
