Age Limit
Age is calculated as on 01-07-2026. Most posts carry an age range of 18–44 years. DSP (Civil) carries 21–30 years, while DSP (Communications) carries 18–30 years. Relaxations apply as prescribed in the notification.

Educational Qualification
For Post Codes 01–03 and 05–13, a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification is required. For Post Code 04 (DSP Communications), the notification prescribes the specified B.E./B.Tech engineering qualification. Candidates should verify the exact qualification and physical/medical requirements in the full notification before applying.
Selection Process
- Screening Test (Objective Type) – Paper I and Paper II.
- Main Written Examination (Conventional/Descriptive Type).
- Interview (Personality Test).
The notification states that candidates for the Main Written Examination will be shortlisted at up to 50 times the available vacancies, irrespective of communities. Final selection is based on merit in the Main Written Examination and Interview, subject to the prescribed qualifying conditions.
