Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for engagement as apprentices under the Apprentice Act 1961 (as amended from time to time).
- Candidates can apply for engagement in one state only. Candidates can appear for the examination only once under this engagement project.
- The Process of registration is complete only when fee is deposited with the Bank through online mode on or before the last date for payment of fees.

Reservation for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) is governed by Office Memorandum no. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31.10.2019 of Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievance & Pensions, Government of India.
Benefit of reservation under EWS category can be availed upon production of an ‘Income and Asset Certificate’ issued by a Competent Authority on the format prescribed by Government of India based on gross annual income for the financial year 2025-26 and valid for the year 2026-27 as per the extant DoPT guidelines. No request for extension of time for production of ‘Income & Asset Certificate’ shall be entertained and if a candidate fails to produce the ‘Income & Asset Certificate’ at the time of joining, his/ her candidature will not be considered for engagement as an apprentice in the Bank.

The EWS candidates should note that in case they are not in possession of “Income & Assets Certificate” for the relevant financial year as per the extant DoPT guidelines on or before the closure of online application date, such candidates should apply under “General (GEN) category only.
Training seats reserved for OBC category are available to OBC candidates belonging to ‘’non-creamy layer’’. Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming in ‘’CREAMY LAYER’’, are not entitled for any relaxation/ reservation available to OBC category. They should indicate their category as General OR General (LD/ VI/ HI/ d&e) as applicable.
OBC category candidate should submit the OBC (Non-Creamy layer) certificate on format prescribed by Govt. of India, having “Non-Creamy Layer’’ clause issued during period 01.04.2026 to the date of taking up engagement, if selected.
The district wise break up of number of seats where training will be given is as under (Candidates will be given option to choose any three preferred districts of the applied state at the time of registration. Mere opting of training seat by candidate at the time of registration at any district of the selected state does not vest any right of final selection for the district and Bank will allot the same as per administrative requirement and at its discretion.) AGE (as on 01.04.2026 ):
Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years as on 01.04.2026 i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 01.04.2006 and not earlier than 02.04.1998 (both days inclusive). Maximum age indicated is for unreserved and EWS candidates. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates .
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION as on 01.04.2026 Graduation from a recognized University/ Institute.
DURATION OF TRAINING: Duration of training is of one year.
STIPEND/ BENEFIT: The apprentices are eligible for stipend of Rs.15000/- per month for the engagement period of one year. The apprentices are not eligible for any other allowances/ benefits.

స్టేట్ బ్యాంక్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా (SBI), సెంట్రల్ రిక్రూట్మెంట్ & ప్రమోషన్ డిపార్ట్మెంట్, ముంబయి.. అప్రెంటిస్ చట్టం 1961 ప్రకారం అప్రెంటిస్ల నియామకాల కోసం ప్రకటన విడుదల చేసింది. ఈ నోటిఫికేషన్ ద్వారా 7,150 అప్రెంటిస్ ఖాళీలను భర్తీ చేయనుంది. బ్యాంకింగ్ రంగంలో నైపుణ్యాభివృద్ధి, సమగ్ర శిక్షణను అందించడం ఈ కార్యక్రమం ముఖ్య ఉద్దేశం. అభ్యర్థులు ఏదైనా ఒక రాష్ట్రానికి మాత్రమే దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవడానికి అర్హులు. ఆన్లైన్ రిజిస్ట్రేషన్లు మే 19 నుంచి జూన్ 8 వరకు కొనసాగుతాయి.

తెలంగాణ: 491 సీట్లు (స్థానిక భాష: తెలుగు/ఉర్దూ).
అర్హతలు: గుర్తింపు పొందిన విశ్వవిద్యాలయం లేదా సంస్థ నుంచి ఏదైనా డిగ్రీ (గ్రాడ్యుయేషన్) ఉత్తీర్ణులై ఉండాలి. అభ్యర్థులు దరఖాస్తు చేసుకుంటున్న రాష్ట్ర అధికారిక స్థానిక భాషలో ప్రావీణ్యం కలిగి ఉండాలి. (చదవడం, రాయడం, మాట్లాడటం, అర్థం చేసుకోవడం రావాలి), ఎంపిక ప్రక్రియలో భాగంగా స్థానిక భాషా పరీక్ష నిర్వహిస్తారు.

- ఆన్లైన్ రాత పరీక్ష (100 మార్కులు) జనరల్/ఫైనాన్షియల్ అవేర్నెస్, జనరల్ ఇంగ్లీష్, క్వాంటిటేటివ్ ఆప్టిట్యూడ్, రీజనింగ్ ఎబిలిటీ & కంప్యూటర్ ఆప్టిట్యూడ్ సబ్జెక్టుల్లో 25 ప్రశ్నల చొప్పున 25 మార్కులకు మొత్తం 100 మార్కులకు ఉంటుంది. జనరల్ ఇంగ్లిష్ విభాగం మినహా మిగిలిన విభాగాలు ఇంగ్లిష్, హిందీతో పాటు అభ్యర్థి ఎంచుకున్న రాష్ట్ర ప్రాంతీయ భాషల్లో (తెలుగు) కూడా రాయవచ్చు. ప్రతి తప్పు సమాధానానికి 1/4 వంతు (0.25) మార్కు కోత ఉంటుంది.
- ఆన్లైన్ రాత పరీక్షలో సాధించిన మార్కుల ఆధారంగా మెరిట్ జాబితాను తయారు చేసి, అభ్యర్థులకు స్థానిక భాషా పరీక్ష నిర్వహిస్తారు. అభ్యర్థులు తమ 10వ తరగతి లేదా 12వ తరగతి మార్కుల జాబితాలో ఈ స్థానిక భాషను ఒక సబ్జెక్టుగా చదివినట్లు ఆధారాలు చూపిస్తే, వారికి ఈ భాషా పరీక్ష నుంచి మినహాయింపు ఉంటుంది.
దరఖాస్తు విధానం:
అభ్యర్థులు ముందుగా అధికారిక ఎన్ఏపీఎస్ (NAPS) పోర్టల్ (www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) లో తప్పనిసరిగా నమోదు చేసుకోవాలి. ఆ తర్వాత ఎస్బీఐ అధికారిక వెబ్ సైట్ (sbi.bank.in/web/careers లేదా sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings) ద్వారా ఆన్లైన్లో మాత్రమే దరఖాస్తు చేసుకోవాల్సి ఉంటుంది. దరఖాస్తు ఫారమ్లో వ్యక్తిగత, విద్యా వివరాలు నింపి, ఫోటో, సంతకం స్కాన్ కాపీలను అప్లోడ్ చేసి, ఆన్లైన్ పేమెంట్ ద్వారా ఫీజు చెల్లించాలి.

WEIGHTAGE / RELAXATION IN RECRUITMENT OF JUNIOR ASSOCIATES:
Weightage / Relaxation to apprentices in recruitment of Junior associates shall be given as per recruitment policy of the bank as amended from time to time. Weightage / Relaxation in recruitment of Junior Associates will be given to the apprentices who will successfully complete the apprenticeship training in our Bank and subject to candidate’s satisfactory conduct and performance during the entire training period. Successful completion of Apprenticeship training refers to passing of skill evaluation test (Trade test) and Obtention of joint National Apprenticeship Certificate jointly issued by SBI-NSDC / BFSI-SSC.
SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection for engagement of apprentices would be based on the basis of (i) Online written test and (ii) Test of local language.

- Each test will have a separate timing as mentioned above.
- Except for the test of General English, Test questions for Written examination shall be set in 13 Regional Languages viz. Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu in addition to English and Hindi Language as per Table appended below .
- There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage mark on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon). Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be as decided by the Bank. There are no minimum qualifying marks for individual subject. Merit list will be drawn State wise and category wise. Candidates qualified in the test will be placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective States and Categories. In case more than one candidate scores same marks as cut-off marks in the merit list (common marks at cut off point) such candidate will be ranked in the merit list according to their age in descending order in respective States and categories.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
- The Candidate should NOT have undergone Apprenticeship either in SBI or in any other organization earlier or pursuing Apprenticeship Training as per the apprenticeship Act 1961 as The training duration / apprenticeship or engagement period shall be 1 year and Govt. of India Guidelines will be followed for leave, working conditions and holidays.
- Candidates who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more after the attainment of the educational qualifications, shall NOT be eligible for being engaged as Apprentices.
- No Ex-Servicemen / Disabled Ex-Servicemen Shall Be Engaged As An Apprentice And There Is No Reservation To Ex-Servicemen/ Disabled Ex-Servicemen In The Apprentice Engagement.
- SBI Shall Have No Obligation To Offer Regular Employment To Apprentices During And/Or After The Completion Of The Apprenticeship Period. After Completion Of Apprenticeship Period, Candidates Will Be Relieved From The Respective Work Area.
- The decision of the Bank will be final and binding on all candidates on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, cancellation of the selection process either in part or full etc. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard. Filling up of the seats is solely at the discretion of the Bank based on suitability of candidates and no claim will arise for engagement, if some of these seats are not filled due to unsuitability / insufficient number of candidates.
- Online applications which are incomplete shall not be considered as “Eligible” and treated as “Rejected”. No communication will be entertained in this regard.
- Candidates should satisfy themselves about their eligibility for engagement in The Bank would admit to the test all the candidates applying for the apprentice on the basis of the information furnished in the online application and shall determine their eligibility only at the time of document verification. Admission to tests will be purely provisional without verification of age/qualification/category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD), etc. of the candidates with reference to documents.
- Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply online well before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/inability/failure to log on to the website on account of heavy load on internet or website jam.
- SBI does not assume any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of aforesaid reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of SBI.
- Not more than one application should be submitted by a candidate. In case of multiple applications, only the last valid (completed) application will be retained, and the application fee/ intimation charge paid for other registration will stand forfeited. Multiple attendance/appearance by a candidate in examination will be summarily rejected/candidature cancelled.
- The possibility for occurrence of some problems in the administration of the examination cannot be ruled out completely, which may impact test delivery and/or result from being In that event, every effort will be made to rectify such problem, which may include the conduct of another examination if considered necessary.
- Candidates are advised to take a printout of their system generated online application form after submitting the application.
- Caste certificate issued by Competent Authority on format prescribed by the Government of India will have to be submitted by the SC/ST candidates, at the time of engagement, if called
- A declaration will have to be submitted in the prescribed format by candidates seeking reservation under OBC category stating that he/ she does not belong to the Creamy Layer. OBC certificate containing the 'Non-creamy layer' clause, issued during the period 04.2026 to the date of joining, should be submitted by such candidates, if called for joining. No request for extension of time for production of OBC (NCL) certificate shall be entertained and if a candidate fails to produce the OBC (NCL) at the time of joining, his/her candidature will not be considered for engagement in the Bank as apprentice.
- Benefit of reservation under EWS category can be availed upon production of an ‘Income and Asset Certificate’ issued by a Competent Authority on the format prescribed by Government of India based on gross annual income for the financial year 2025-26 and valid for the year 2026-27 as per the extant DoPT No request for extension of time for production of ‘Income & Asset Certificate’ shall be entertained and if a candidate fails to produce the ‘Income & Asset Certificate’ at the time of joining, he/ she will not be allowed for joining and not considered for engagement in the Bank as apprentice.

- PwBD candidates should produce disability certificate, on prescribed format issued by a competent authority as per the Government of India Guidelines.
- Candidates are advised to keep their registered e-mail ID/mobile active for receiving advice, call letters/advices etc.
- CIBIL: Candidates who have defaulted in repayment under any lending arrangement with Banks/NBFCs/Financial Institutions including credit card dues and have not regularized /repaid their outstanding thereunder till the date of issuance of letter of offer of engagement by the Bank, shall not be eligible for engagement to the However, candidates who have regularized /repaid such outstanding on or before the date of issuance of offer of engagement, but whose CIBIL status has not been updated on or before the date of joining, shall have to either get the CIBIL status updated or produce the NOCs from lender to the effect that there is no outstanding with respect to the accounts adversely reflected in the CIBIL, failing which the letter of offer shall be withdrawn/cancelled. Thus, the candidates with record of default in repayment of loans/credit card dues and / or against whose name adverse report of CIBIL or other external agencies are available are not eligible for the engagement.
- Engagement of selected candidates is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank and such engagement will also be subject to all relevant rules/policies/guidelines of the

Candidates will be required to register themselves online through website https://nsdcindia.org/apprenticeship or https://apprenticeshipindia.org or http://bfsissc.com or https://sbi.bank.in/careers or https://www.sbi.co.in/careers – Engagement of Apprentices in SBI.
Helpdesk: In case of any problem in filling up the form, queries may be made at telephone no. 022-22820427 (between 11:00 AM to 06:00 PM only on working days) or lodge his/her query on https://cgrs.ibps.in. Candidates are advised not to forget to mention ‘Engagement of Apprentice in SBI’ in the subject of the email.
Pre-requisites for Applying Online: Candidates should have valid email ID and mobile no. which should be kept active till the declaration of results. It will help him/her in getting call letter/advice etc. by email/SMS.
- Candidates should first scan their photograph, signature & documents as detailed under guidelines for scanning the photograph, signature & documents (Annexure-I).
- Candidates to visit website https://bank.sbi/careers or https://www.sbi.co.in/careers and open the appropriate Online Application Form, available in the 'Current Openings’.
- Fill the application Once the application is filled in completely, candidates should submit the data. In the event of candidates not being able to fill the data in one go, they can save the data already entered. When the data is saved, a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidates should note down the registration number and password. They can re-open the saved data using registration number and password and edit the particulars, if needed. This facility will be available three times only. Once the application is filled in completely, candidates should submit the data. Thereafter, the registration is final and no change/ edit of any data will be allowed. The registration at this stage is provisional.
- After ensuring the correctness of the particulars of the application form, candidates are required to pay fees through the payment gateway integrated with the application, following the instructions available on the screen.
- Fee can be paid by using debit card/credit card /internet banking by providing information as asked on the screen. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidate.
- On successful completion of transaction, e-receipt and application form with fee details will be generated, which may be printed for Printout of Application Form is NOT to be sent to SBI.
- If the online transaction is not successfully completed, please register again, and make payment online.
GUIDELINES FOR SCANNING THE PHOTOGRAPH & SIGNATURE:
Before applying online, a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/her photograph and signature as per the specifications given in Annexure-I. Online application will not be registered unless candidates upload photo & signature as specified.

Photograph Capture:
- In addition to the above photograph, candidates will also be required to capture and upload their live photograph either by using webcam or mobile phone.
- On selecting “Capture Photo” option, candidates’ webcam will be activated allowing them to click their picture, which will get auto uploaded in the application form.
- On selecting “Click here to Scan” option, candidates can use their mobile phone to scan the QR code, which will redirect to a website, allowing to click photograph on their mobile phone. On selecting the taken picture, photograph will get auto uploaded in the application form.
Do’s and Don’ts of Photo Capture Do’s:
- Ensure the photo is captured against a light coloured, preferably white background and there is adequate light. Look straight at the webcam/ camera.
- Photograph should be of passport size.
Don’ts:
- Small size photograph not to be clicked/ uploaded. Coloured glasses or sunglasses/ Cap should not be worn.
- Shadow on face/ not facing the camera/ distorted face/ face covered with mask / blurred image. Photo not taken in dark/ improper background.
CALL LETTERS FOR EXAMINATION:
- The candidates should download their call letter and an "Acquaint yourself booklet" by entering their registration number and password/ date of birth from the Bank's website https://nsdcindia.org/apprenticeship or https://apprenticeshipindia.org or http://bfsissc.com or https://bank.sbi/careers or https://www.sbi.co.in/careers tentatively in the month of June
- NO HARD COPY OF THE CALL LETTER FOR ONLINE WRITTEN EXAMINATION & ACQUAINT YOURSELF BOOKLET WILL BE SENT BY POST
PROOF OF IDENTITY TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF EXAMINTION:
The candidates must bring one photo identity proof such as passport/Aadhar/ PAN Card/Driving License/Voter's Card/Bank Passbook with duly attested Photograph/Identity Card issued by School or College/ Gazetted Officer in the official letter head in original as well as a self-attested Photocopy thereof. The photocopy of Identity proof should be submitted along with call letter to the invigilators in the examination hall, failing which or if identity of candidates is in doubt the candidate will not be permitted to appear for the test.
DISCLAIMER:
In case it is detected at any stage of engagement of apprentice that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), indulge in unfair practice in the process, his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is/are detected even after engagement, his/her training is liable to be terminated. Decisions of Bank in all matters regarding eligibility, conduct of written examination, other tests and selection would be final and binding on all candidates.
