Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (As of 01-07-2025)

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and must not have crossed 45 years of age. Relaxations apply for various categories:

•  SC / ST / BC / EWS: Up to 50 years

•  Differently Abled (PH): Up to 52 years (Requires a minimum of 40% disability)

•  Ex-Service Women: Up to 45 years

Essential Academic & TET Qualifications

•  Medium of Instruction: Since English is the medium of instruction in KGBVs, applicants must be capable of teaching in English. You must have also studied English as a subject up to graduation level.

•  Teacher Eligibility Test (TET): Candidates must have cleared the AP Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) for the posts of Principal, CRT (all subjects), and PGT (General subjects). TET is not mandatory for PET and PGT Vocational streams.

Post-Wise Qualifications Overview:

• Principal: Post-Graduate degree (min 50% for OC, 45% for BC, 40% for SC/ST/PH) + B.Ed./M.A. Education.

•  PGT: Relevant Master's Degree in the concerned subject with minimum qualifying marks + B.Ed. with the appropriate methodology.

•  CRT: Bachelor's Degree / 4-year integrated degree in the relevant subject combination + B.Ed. with matching methodology.

•  PET: Intermediate qualification (Board of Intermediate Education, AP) or Graduation + U.G.D.P.Ed / B.P.Ed / M.P.Ed. Note: Differently abled candidates are ineligible for PET positions.

Selection & Merit Calculation Process

There will be no separate recruitment exam. Selections are calculated purely on a merit weightage system out of a 100-mark scale based on your past academic performance.

• Principals & PGTs: SSC (20 marks), Intermediate (10 marks), Graduation (20 marks), Post-Graduation (30 marks), B.Ed. (20 marks) .

• CRTs: SSC (20 marks), Intermediate (20 marks), Graduation (30 marks), B.Ed. (30 marks) .

•  PETs: SSC (20 marks), Intermediate (40 marks), Professional Training Diploma/Degree (40 marks).

Tie-Breaker Rule: If two candidates secure the exact same merit points, priority goes to the elder candidate. If the date of birth is also identical, the highest marks achieved in the core graduation/post-graduation/intermediate degrees will decide the rank.

Step-by-Step Application Guide

1.  Prepare Your Documents: Ensure you have scanned copies of your SSC, Inter, Degree, PG, B.Ed/Training Certificates, APTET qualification documents, Local Status certificate, and Caste/EWS certificate (if applicable).

2.  Pay the Fee: Eligible applicants need to pay an online application fee of ₹300/- through the official school education department gateway.

3. Submit Online: Visit kgbvrecruitment.apcfss.in between May 27 and June 5, 2026.

4.  Important Restriction: Candidates are strictly allowed to apply in only one district using the newly formed districts as a unit. Double-check everything, as uploading incomplete or false information will result in summary rejection and a permanent ban from future government job applications.
